Storm was created by Nathan Marz at BackType and open-sourced by Twitter in September 2011. It entered the Apache Software Foundation's incubator in 2013, became a top-level Apache project in 2014, and is developed today as Apache Storm. The other pages on this site describe the project as it was in 2012. This page covers what came before and since.

About this site
storm-project.net was the project's original website. This copy keeps those pages as they were. Where a fact has changed since 2012, a dated note says so. Where an original link target has moved, the link now points to its current location or to an archived copy. Historical dates and release notes are unchanged.
