Evil Geniuses is North America's most celebrated esports organization and a global powerhouse, boasting over 215 championships to date. Founded in 1999 in Canada by Alexander "ottersareneat" Garfield, EG began as a StarCraft team before expanding into multiple titles over the decades. The VALORANT division of Evil Geniuses has been particularly successful, establishing itself as one of the premier teams in North America. This victory made EG the first American organization to win Champions, cementing their status as global contenders and bringing home a $1,000,000 prize. The team's success continued with a second-place finish at VCT 2023: Masters Tokyo, where they fell to FNATIC in the finals.
Throughout their history, EG has featured numerous talented players including Demon1, Ethan, Apotheon, and more recently, Derrek, NaturE, supamen, and pho. The organization has maintained a reputation for developing and nurturing talent, with players like Derrek establishing themselves as elite-level performers in the North American scene.
