Gen.G Esports is a premier South Korean esports organization founded in 2017 when KSV eSports acquired the 2017 League of Legends World Championship-winning Samsung Galaxy roster. Originally operating as KSV eSports, the organization rebranded to Generation Gaming (Gen.G) on May 3, 2018, marking the beginning of one of esports' most successful dynasties.

Gen.G quickly established itself as a powerhouse in the LCK, earning the nickname "Gauntlet Gods" after winning the 2018 LCK Summer Regional Gauntlet to qualify for Worlds. The organization has since become one of League of Legends' most decorated teams, achieving historic milestones including the first team in LCK history to win four consecutive domestic titles (2024).

In VALORANT, Gen.G made a strategic pivot in October 2022, moving their operations from North America to Korea as a VCT Partner Team in the Pacific International League. This transition proved transformative, with Gen.G becoming the first Korean organization to reach an international VALORANT grand final at Masters Madrid 2024, and subsequently the first Pacific team to win an international event by claiming victory at Masters Shanghai 2024.

Throughout its history, Gen.G has maintained a commitment to excellence, consistently fielding world-class talent across multiple games. The organization's rosters have featured legendary players like Ruler, Chovy, and Canyon, creating some of the most formidable teams in competitive gaming history.
