Team Vitality
Team Vitality is a premier French esports organization founded in 2013 by Nicolas Maurer and Fabien Devide. Initially starting with the acquisition of a League of Legends team in 2015, Vitality has grown into one of the most successful and recognizable esports organizations globally, competing across multiple titles including Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, Rocket League, Valorant, and many others.
The organization gained international prominence through its Counter-Strike 2 division, which has become synonymous with excellence in competitive gaming. Team Vitality's CS2 team is widely regarded as one of the most successful organizations in CS history, having won over 20 S-tier trophies, including three Major championships and an ESL Grand Slam. The team is particularly famous for its French-turned-international lineup, which has notably featured Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, widely considered one of the greatest CS players of all time, and long-time in-game leader Dan "apEX" Madesclaire.
Vitality's journey in CS2 began in October 2018 when they entered the competitive scene with a roster featuring NBK-, apEX, Happy, RpK, ZywOo, and faculty as coach. Since then, the organization has undergone numerous roster changes, strategic pivots, and remarkable achievements. The team has consistently maintained its position at the top of competitive CS2, winning prestigious tournaments like IEM Katowice, IEM Cologne, BLAST.tv Paris Major, BLAST.tv Austin Major, and StarLadder Budapest Major.
Beyond Counter-Strike, Team Vitality has established strong presences in other esports titles. Their League of Legends team competes in the LEC (League of Legends European Championship), while their Rocket League and Valorant teams have also achieved significant success. The organization's commitment to excellence is reflected in their state-of-the-art training facilities, professional management structure, and strategic player acquisitions.
Team Vitality's success is built on a foundation of French esports heritage combined with a global approach to talent acquisition. The organization has successfully blended experienced veterans with rising stars, creating teams that can compete at the highest levels while maintaining a distinctive playing style and team identity. Their achievements have not only brought glory to the organization but have also elevated the profile of French esports on the global stage.
